Dr. Carolyn Salerno is a veteran educator who has brought up innumerable academic doctors. Her practical exposure and experience in Leadership is second to none. She has completed several scholarly works that are deployed across the globe. She is still mentoring academics and other forward-looking professionals.

Collaborative elements are critical to the success of organizations interconnected across international spectra. In the 21st Century, all organizations are expected to have become learning organizations where strong knowledge base accounts for, at least, 80 per cent of the organization’s mainstay. To achieve this paradigm, every member of the organization must subscribe to lifelong learning and make concerted efforts to support the organization’s mission under all circumstances.
Some people lead from the front. Some lead from the back. Others lead from inside the crowd. Some of these styles have worked for some people. A leader must research through the deployment of multiple paradigms. Thereby, the working paradigm will emerge. This is important (based on research) because the success of the team you are leading may not be based on your expertise or prowess. Giving back has be in vogue for ages. However, some communities are still left behind. That is why Carolyn Salerno Center found a ‘home’ in the rural African community where synergy occurs organically. The presence of other entities within BIWAL Plaza makes it possible to find multiple voices in support of community building. Consequently, the chosen rural African community becomes a beacon of light and hope to the surrounding areas. This choice has given rise to increased awareness on the part of many rural dwellers.
